Wedding Guest Look from Reformation

Wedding Guest Look from Reformation

After the Royal Wedding last month, it seems like wedding season is in full swing. At least that’s all I’ve been seeing on my Instagram discovery page lately. Lucky for me, Clark and I were able to join in on the festivities by attending his cousin’s wedding this weekend in Philly at the beautiful Historic Waynesborough House.

Following the wedding cocktail dress code, I decided to keep my dress color toned down. I got my dress from Reformation. They’re a company that makes their clothing with sustainable materials, rescued deadstock fabrics and repurposed vintage clothing which I love and they have a full line of wedding guest dresses to shop from. The dress I’m wearing is the Butterfly Dress. It’s an off-the-shoulder dress with a sweetheart neckline and ruffled edge sleeves. This dress was so comfortable to move around in and fit like second skin. I paired the dress with a pair of heels sandals from BCBG and a straw bag from Zara.

Check out the pictures I took from the wedding and let me know what you think about the dress. Also, I took all these pictures on my iPhone because I didn’t want to carry my huge DLSR, and they came out pretty well!

Ford Life Hack Event in NYC

Wore a blue beret to match the Ford logo
I went to an event a few days ago hosted by Ford called Life Hack Academy Live at the Altman Building. It was an evening full of guest speakers (including Tia Mowry) and bloggers sharing their own life hacks, and tips and tricks to make 2018 a year of doing the things you’ve always wanted to do. As someone who is starting a new blog, I was really nervous of going to the event alone, and I almost didn’t. I decided to take a chance and went, and it was super fun. I had the opportunity to meet new people, learn some tricks on making the most out of life, and enjoyed yummy drinks and o’dourves. I know it can be a little scary to get out of your comfort zone sometimes, but if there is something you want to do, do it. Find a way to overcome the fear. You will never regret it. Check out this mini video I made from the event and let me know how I did in the editing. Thank you so much for reading my first blog post. If you have any advice or tips on how I can make this a better blog, please do share. I love learning new things from people. Until next time friends. 🙂

I found out about the event from an event newsletter I receive in my inbox every week from @nycxclothes. They are 2 sister in NYC who run a beautiful fashion and lifestyle page. Follow them to sign up for their weekly event newsletters.
