What’s the one thing that’s important to you when visiting a new place? For me, it’s making sure where I’m staying is close to activities, restaurants, and entertainment. These are the main reasons why I stayed at Sentral in Wynwood, Miami. If you haven’t heard of Sentral before, I’m glad you’re here.
Sentral is a new flexible living community that offers you 2 ways to stay there. You have the Live option, which allows living at Sentral for 30 days or more, and you have to Stay which allows you to stay at Sentral for 29 days or less. Since I was only there for 3 days, I booked Stay. If I were to change my mind and wanted to stay longer than the 29 days Stay maximum, I could easily change the booking over to Live.
1. The Apartments
When choosing an apartment to Live in at Sentral, you have the option of either having it unfurnished to make it your own or designer-furnished. Designer-furnished apartments are automatically given to those who are there to Stay. Everything you could need in the apartment was available. From plates, utensils, towels, iron, etc. It’s sort of like staying at a hotel but with way more things to offer, which makes you feel like you’re in an actual home.
2. The Amenities
The biggest advantage of staying at Sentral was having access to amenities whether you’re living there or only staying for a while. The co-working space and entertainment lounge on the top floor are massive and perfectly sectioned up.
The outdoor rooftop terrace with a grilling station and the resort-style pool was very much the cherry on top of the cake for me.
3. The Activities
One of the best things about the Sentral Wynwood location is how walkable it is to everything. When I travel, being close to entertainment and restaurants is always high on my list. Not having to worry about transportation on this trip allowed me to enjoy the trip a lot more.
Wynwood Walls
Wynwood Walls is an outdoor museum of international street art that was established by Tony Goldman in 2009. The lovely thing about Wynwood Walls is that you’ll never see the same art twice if you visit yearly. Each year, new artists come in to showcase their work. I’ve visited the walls once before with not too much of an understanding of the art. This time, I took a group tour and gained such an understanding and appreciation of the artist and their work. I highly recommend taking a group tour if you ever go.

4. The Food
Bakan
Mexican restaurant that specializes in Tequila and Mezcal. Great atmosphere with an indoor-outdoor seating flow. Just a 6-minute walk from Sentral.
Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink
Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink is a New American restaurant located in the Design District that serves up locally sourced comfort food and welcoming hospitality.
Freehold
Freehold is a trendy restaurant with a cafe, 3 bars, and a massive courtyard. Went here for brunch and enjoyed their Bagel Tower and BEC (bacon, and cheese) Pizza.
The Salty Donut
Run don’t walk to The Salty Donut. Their donuts are delicious and they have so many flavors to choose from.
Additional Restaurants
As you can see, the Sentral, Wynwood Miami location, is definitely an amazing place to stay if you’re visiting the area. The amazing amenities they provide to all their guest and the proximity to everything in the Wynwood area makes it an easy choice to make. Would you stay in a Sentral apartment?
