So the weather in NYC has been a little weird again. Actually it’s been cold, like in the 40’s and low 50’s kind of cold. What happened to the 60 and 70 degree weather we were having not long ago? Anyways, with it being cold, that meant I had to start wearing warm clothing again which I dont mind too much because I like to be cozy, and it gave me the chance to create this purple tone look.
I’ve never really been a fan of purple. It was always a random color that never spoke to me. I was doing some online shopping on NA-KD Fashion, and I realized that everything in my shopping cart was really plain in color. So I decided to challenge myself and get this purple or wild orchid top to shake up my color pallete a bit. I already had the pants from H&M and thought the top might go along with it. This was my first time ever buying from NA-KD Fashion and I was a bit worried about the quality. I’ve had issues with quality in the past with business who only operate online.
When I received the top, I was pleasantly surprised witht the quality. Almost everything I bought fit very well. And luckliy for me the top went very well with the checked pants from H&M. I paired them up with a simple black bootie, a black belt and dark navy jacket and a pair of earrings. Because the top and pants have so much color going on, it was important to tone everything else down. It’s all about balance balance after all. I’ll definitely be experimenting with more color this summer, but this was a good start.
